Peter Mokaba stadium is the newly built stadium in the Limpopo Province of south Africa. The stadium is located in the Polokwane city. The stadium is designed in a four tier model and has a capacity of about 46,000.
The stadium is located next to the old Peter Mokaba stadium and is about 5km from the centre of the city.
The stadium was named after Peter Mokaba a politician during the apartheid period. This inspiring leader was born in Polokwane and was fighting for the people of South Africa with his whole spirit.
The construction cost for the stadium was about R1.1 billion and the construction work will be finished to hold the first round matches of the FIFA world cup 2010.
The stadium consist of a first rate equipment which includes an electronic scoreboard, flood lights, fire detection system and sound system.
