The Moses Mabhida Stadium is located in Durban city. The stadium is located at the centre of the King Park Sporting Precinct. The Moses stadium has been built newly for the football world cup 2010. The construction was started in 2006 and has been planned to be completed with in the 2009 October.
The stadium has been planned to be built in a three-tired model and will have a capacity of about 70,000. The surrounding area of the stadium will have restaurants, shops, play areas for children and also a path way will be established to link the multifaceted stadium with the beach.
The grand central arch of the stadium is the most striking and attracting feature of the Moses stadium. Cable cars are available for the football fans to move about 350m to the arch which is 106m above the pitch in order to admire the beautiful site of the city and also to enjoy a visit at the golden beaches.
