In ancient times the city was used as a resort by the prospectors, explorers and hunters. This small cute town is the home of Paul Kruger the former president of South Africa. Royal Bafokeng Stadium has been chosen to host the football world cup 2010. It has a capacity of about 40,000. The stadium gets its name after the people of Bafokeng. The stadium will host 6 matches of the FIFA world cup 2010.
